08 May Y1’s London Tour
As part of their Geography learning, Year 1 enjoyed a wonderful day exploring London as the nation’s capital city, discovering its famous landmarks and key features. The children travelled along the River Thames by boat, stood on the Golden Jubilee Bridges to admire spectacular views of the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament, and strolled down The Mall to Buckingham Palace. A truly memorable highlight of the day was being in the right place at the right time to wave to King Charles III as he travelled along Embankment with his police escort — an unexpected and exciting bonus for everyone.
