Thank you for your interest in St Mary’s Church of England Primary School.
On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to St. Mary’s. We hope you find our website clear, informative and easy to navigate. It is designed to give you a flavour of: the vibrant life of our school, our pupils’ learning and the quality education we strive to deliver.
I am very proud to be the Head Teacher of St Mary’s School. We are a one form entry primary school based in East Barnet village and we are steeped in history; the very first children in the parish were educated in St Mary’s Church gallery before the school was build in 1871. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength!
It is our priority that the education that each child receives here will enable them to achieve their holistic potential so that they can progress confidently into the next phase of their education.
In partnership with St Mary’s Church, children have opportunities to develop their understanding of the Christian faith, as well as learning about other faiths and cultures.
Our vision at St. Mary’s School:
Care, grow and flourish in God’s loving hands.
Rooted in God’s love, our nurturing ethos enables all members of our school community to thrive and flourish. We tend to the academic, social, moral, physical and spiritual needs of our school family so that we grow into confident, respectful, aspirational and active citizens of our ever-changing modern world. We do all of this in God’s trusted and loving hands.
All of the staff share our school vision and recognise children as unique individuals with specific talents and needs. They work tirelessly to provide a nurturing environment along with a varied and engaging curriculum to enable a positive school experience for the children.
If you have any questions about our school, or would like to arrange a visit, please contact the school office on 02084495856.
