Christingle Service

This morning we had wonderful Christingle service in school, with the story of the birth of Jesus told by staff using the readings from the 9 lessons and carols. It is a very moving service which we adapt for the children. The children sang the carols beautifully and year y6 presented their Christingles as we sang Away in a Manger. They then presented their Reception buddies with a Christingle, the oldest children passing on to the youngest the meaning of Christmas though this wonderful tradition.
