06 Nov Year 6 WW2 Experience at Lincolnsfields
Last half term, our Year 6 children visited Lincolnsfields (an American air-base during WW2), which really enriched their knowledge and understanding about life during World War II. The children were immersed in a wide range of war-time experiences, including discussing the realities of rationing; dressing up; playing with 1940s games; re-enactments and role play; visiting a “Blitz” exhibition on-site; exploring a 1940s house; having a school classroom experience; an air raid experience and more! It was interactive, making it a memorable way to learn and begin to understand this turbulent period of history.
