02 Apr Royal Albert Hall Performance
Yesterday, children from Year 4, Year 5, and Year 6 had the incredible privilege of performing at The Royal Albert Hall as part of the ‘All Under One Sky’ musical extravaganza. The show featured 900 students from 30 schools. We performed alongside choirs and instrumental groups from Barnet Education Arts Trust’s Music Academies. It was a sensational evening!
We witnessed up close, inspiring levels of dedication and commitment by the orchestra and solo performers as well as some very impressive conductors – we have a few budding conductors at St. Mary’s already.
We were incredibly proud of how exceptional the children were – their levels of focus and performance were outstanding. A small group of children in Year 5 were chosen to play djembe too – wow – such a big responsibility keeping us to time!
Huge thank you to Mrs. Haggan for expertly teaching the children lots of very complex songs over many months in after-school rehearsals. Thank you to the children’s parents for their support and for those who were able to some along to the Royal Albert Hall. The biggest thanks however goes to the children!
Here are just a few photos from last night 🙂
