07 Feb Candlemas
Each year as near to February 2 as possible we celebrate Candlemas which marks in the church year the end of Epiphany and the Christmas season. The story tells of the visit to the temple in Jerusalem made by Mary and Joseph with the infant Jesus. Candles are lit as part of the celebration. It is a lovely service – take a look at it here: 2020 Candlemas Service
Rev Dr Alec Corio has bought a candle for each child which they took home this week. The children have been told that they can only be lit by and adult, and on no account must they light them.
Enjoy your candle!
