11 Nov Remembrance 2020
Like so many people across the country, we all came to a standstill this morning at 11am in remembrance, to think about those who lost their lives in battle and those still affected by conflict. Two pupils from St. Mary’s School were joined by some members of the public to lay a wreath at the Village Memorial this morning. Whilst the gathering was small and socially distanced, the 2 minutes of silence were very poignant reminders of the sacrifice made by so many.
As the children laid the wreath on behalf of the school, they said some very special words.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning…We will remember them.
Amen
