Parents are provided with consultations and reports to discuss and report the progress of their child.
Parent Consultations
Each term, parents will have an opportunity for a 10-minute appointment to see class teachers about their child. This consultation provides the time to discuss the children’s progress and for parents to see learning in books. Termly appointments are booked using the school’s online system.
Staff will be happy to speak with parents at other times, briefly before and after school, or by appointment if more time is needed.
Reports
A written report of progress from years 1 to 6 is shared at the end of the Spring term. Teachers will provide pupils with targets in Maths, English and Science and parents are encouraged to support their children to achieve these by the end of the academic year.
Children in Reception receive their written reports at the end of their first year of school at St. Mary’s.
