In connection with our topic, we have arranged for the Freshwater Theatre Company to visit school on Wednesday 29 January 2020 for a workshop entitled Rivers and Water.
This exciting workshop involves the class becoming the cast and crew of the TV show Riverwatch, they must use their knowledge to create the water cycle, before they take a journey down the river Thames. They will debate the use of rivers for personal versus industry use.
Following the cancelation of the pantomime before Christmas, due to illness, as an apology the company have offered us a free day of Bringing Books to Life dance workshops on Wednesday 12 February 2020. This is similar to those we had these back in March 2018. These focus on literacy and work class-by-class so that in a day they can work with all children in the school.
You can read more about the workshops and the book options available (they cover up to 3 in a day) on their website: https://westendinschools.org.uk/dance/bringing-books-to-life
